Whether is Digital or traditional marketing, there are plenty things that need to get done before a final product or service is displayed for our customers. This is what is usually taken for granted in any job.
At one point of our lives we all have been customers. We may have purchased things and have checked items online but how is this process really possible and so simple to do? What are we interacting with in the first place? Sure we move from one page to another of a website and check out products and services but how do we actually do this?
What we are interacting with is the final roduct or the front-end. To put this in perspective, this would be your waiter. These are the things that we click, we see, we read, we listen to (in case of video marketing) and even things that we touch (if free items are sent via the mail). The front end is the frontline where customers meet businesses, were they feel emotions and where marketers have to make everything appealing for they customers and convince them right then this is where they want to be. Just like in a restaurant, for all of this to be able to happen there is a lot happening in the back end (The kitchen on my example) lead generation, graphic design, digital marketing campaigns, planning, analytics a whole infrastructure has to be develop for the site to be alive and attractive as well as for the right message to be delivered to the right customers.
The backend is presumed to work automatically, but it is actually more than that. There are so many pieces that need attention and be placed in the right spot so that everything works perfect for the customer to enjoy the final product. (The meal)
The back end is the infrastructure where the marketing department processes all the information needed; this is where the magic happens. Here is all about the technology (tools), the right process, the experience and tools are put in place to keep track of customer data, performance, and much more this way we are able to improve managing data in between the client and the customer, making it more cost effective, and getting a better ROI (Return of investment).
Ideally, marketing front end is connected to the company’s back end through the tools technology and processes we each choose for the project. Connecting front and back end data allows site owners and marketers to predict customer demands and to create better and more efficient marketing campaigns. When this happens, expected positive results, this is what good marketing really is. It takes a lot of hard work and hours to make sure things are perfectly where they need to be to perform.
